It’s amazing how much joy you can get from adding just a small thing to your street. I walk past a corner on my street every day now and smile.

Staying at home during this pandemic feels different for each of us, but there is one thing that makes a world of difference: Can you go outside?

Stay in place. Be where you are. Never has place been more important. Where are your local resources? What is your local support system? What is your underground root system?

Thank God for porches. That place between inside and outside, between public and private, between your house and the street.
